Abstract

An important component of any research is its popularization. The peculiarity of modern scientific communication is the publication of the results of scientists' activities mostly in specialized literature and within various scientific events. This is a traditional process of recording and sharing new knowledge, thanks to which it spreads. However, it is worth understanding that it is quite closed and takes place outside the attention of the general public. Therefore, for the dissemination of knowledge obtained during the implementation of scientific studies, it is worth using those tools and resources that are positively perceived by modern society and even become part of its intellectual space. One of them is video hosting Youtube. It is on this basis that we have developed a project aimed at popularizing the results of research in the Pereiaslav region.

The educational project «Antiquities of Pereiaslav region» has been implemented for the past three years. The project involves the creation of short videos about individual sights, persons and phenomena related to the history of the region. So far, six films have been created, which are posted on several YouTube channels. The main goal of the project is to popularize the past of Pereiaslav region, to inform viewers about various aspects of historical heritage. We also sought to draw attention to individual monuments, to influence the formation of an understanding of their importance and the need for preservation in the human mind. The creation of the video took place on the basis of materials obtained during the research of previous years and accumulated during the work on the project.
