AUTHOR GUIDELINES
General information
The journal accepts articles in which the results of research in the following areas are considered: the use of spatial approaches and GIS in various fields of historical science (archeology, ethnography, museum studies, etc.); dedication; reviews, etc.
Manuscripts submitted to the journal "Space in Historical Research" must be original and previously unpublished. They should not be submitted to any other publication at the same time. The authors are solely responsible for the content of the article and the accuracy of the information provided.
All articles must be designed according to ethical standards in publishing.
Review procedure
Reviewing (expert evaluation) of articles is mandatory and is carried out to ensure a high scientific and theoretical level of the journal and to select the most important and relevant scientific papers.
The publication uses Double-Blind Peer Review. Reviewing is free.
The editorial board of the journal "Space in Historical Research" does not accept any signs of plagiarism. Special software is used to detect plagiarism.
Materials that contain plagiarism or textual borrowings without reference to the original source are rejected by the editorial board.
Requirements for the design of articles
The article is submitted in the original language (Ukrainian or English).
The volume of the main text of the article (without abstract and references) should be at least 10 pages.
The scientific article should contain the following essential elements:

problem statement in general terms and connection with important scientific or practical tasks; relevance of the topic;

historiography of the issue, analysis of recent research and publications in which the solution to this problem was initiated and is referred to by the author, highliting previously unsolved parts of the general problem on which the article is focused;

formulation of goals (objective) of the article, problem statement;
-
an outline of the main research material with a full substantiation of the scientific results obtained;
-
conclusion and prospects of further research in this direction.
Setting of the article structural elements:

The abstract of the article should be structured. It must contain the purpose of the study and he methods applied (research methodology), the main conclusions obtained.
An important requirement for articles is quality, a high level of English translation.
Technical requirements for the design of the article
Margins: left – 2,5 см, right – 1,5 см, top and bottom – 2 см. Paragraph – 1 см. НIt is not allowed to create a paragraph indent using the Tab key and the Spacebar. Editor: MS Word. Font: TimesNewRoman, size 14 pt., spacing – 1,5. Text is typed without hyphenation.
Please note the use of some characters in the text:
- the quotation marks of the «» type should be used in the text;
- Be sure to use the symbol to indicate a dash «–», for the hyphen «-»;
- You must use dashes without spaces to indicate numeric ranges, for example: 25–35 years;
- You do not need to put extra spaces, especially in front of brackets, as well as in them;
- the use of hyphens, page numbering, footers is not allowed.
References layout
Internal references must be made in accordance with the requirements of the APA-7 standard. The link in the test contains the following elements: the name of the author and the date of publication and, if necessary, a fragment of the source (page).
The bibliographic description in the list of used sources and literature is made out according to the requirements of the APA-7 standard and sorted alphabetically.
References are issued according to the standard АРА.
For transliteration of Ukrainian text into Latin, site is used: http://www.slovnyk.ua/translit.php (select American version); for transliteration of Russian text site is used: https://translit.net/.
Tables in the text must be made in Excel or Word and have the appropriate signatures. References to illustrations should be made as follows: (table 1).
Send graphic materials in separate files in jpg format (300 dpi). References to illustrations should be made as follows: (fig. 1). Label file names: Rys_1, Rys_2, Rys_3… You must submit a file with names separately to the illustrations.
The authors of the materials are responsible for the content, accuracy of the submitted facts, quotations, numbers and surnames. The editorial board reserves the right to edit and cut, as well as literary correct the article (preserving the main conclusions and style of the author). The editorial board may not share the ideological beliefs of the authors.
Copyright Regulations
If the author submits an article for publication in the journal Space in Historical Research, he certifies that he does not infringe the copyrights of other persons or organizations, the proposed material has not been published before and has not been submitted for publication in other publications.
Accordingly, the author transfers to the editorial board of the journal the rights to:

publication of the article in Ukrainian (English) and distribution of its printed version and electronic version (placement on the official web-site of the journal, in electronic databases, repositories, etc.).
Submissions are published in the journal free of charge
