Abstract

​

The article considers Ukraine's involvement in the pan-European project of historic cities' atlases creation, in accordance to the program of the International Commission on Urban History. The significance of Pereiaslav in the history of Ukraine causes the development of a corresponding volume of an atlas of Ukrainian historical cities. The creation of the Pereiaslav Atlas will be based on the many years of research completed into the history of the city, the existing research infrastructure, and preserved documents. The atlas will contain reproductions of original ancient plans and maps, as well as views of the city, maps-reconstructions, an essay on the history of the city in the form of a separate brochure.
