Abstract

The article analyzes Rus’ and Western European sources that cover the life of one of the daughters of Pereiaslav Prince Vsevolod Yaroslavych – Eupraxia Vsevolodivna. She had difficult tests of his character strength, willpower and spirit. The dramatic short story (no more than ten years), filled with life events of Eupraxia Vsevolodivna (Praxedis) in Western Europe was vividly described in a number of Western European sources. It contrasts very sharply with the almost complete lack of information about the personal life of even the most famous Rus’ princesses. It allows, based on the analysis of information from available sources, to compile a fairly accurate her biogram and traces all the key points of her short (about 38 years) life. The connection between Eupraxia Vsevolodivna and Rus’ Pereiaslavl is traced.
