Abstract

The geographical location of the North Black Sea region and its natural potential influenced on its habitation and adoption by settled and nomads population. In the time of Ulus Djuchi the number of cities and ports were founded. They played an important role in the international trade and contacts of different ethnic groups. The anthropological materials confirm the succession between the population of this area and Ukrainians of the Middle Dnieper of 17–19 centuries. In the Ottoman time this region became a very important center of the agricultural production for metropolitan. In 17–18 centuries the process of colonization of the North Black Sea area by Ukrainian population increased and lead to development of formation of numerous settlements and various occupations of local population.
