Abstract
The article should describe the practices of spatial data collection in the process of archaeological surveys and surveys, its processing, preservation and use. These procedures are based on the experience of many years of intelligence work of the authors. An important issue that arises during such works is the problem of preserving spatial data and its standardization. The authors indicate the need to change the format of spatial data storage and the need for its management. The text indicates the need to standardize archaeological spatial data. The authors support the need to intensify work on the creation of a national archaeological map
